Pilot Slot(s)

The pilot slot forming condition is used to simulate the effects of pilot holes by constraining the movement of the holes.

To apply a pilot slot to your part, select the Pilot Slot option under the Forming Conditions icon.

To apply a pilot slot select the lines to constrain by clicking on the desired lines followed by clicking OK to apply the selection.  Multiple lines can be selected by holding the Ctrl key or by window selecting.

To create Pilot Hole(s) (PH), click the "Forming Conditions" icon on the forming workbench toolbar , and select "Pilot Hole". The dialog will appear and:

• All previous selected entities will be unselected
• The Select Holes button checked and the selection filter automatically set to select holes.

During Selection:

• Selection will be the same as with regular selection (i.e. with ctrl key for multiple selection)
• As soon as one hole is selected, the controls are updated automatically with default values, and the OK button is enabled.

During Editing:

• The Select Hole(s) buttons will automatically be unchecked, turning the selection off.
• All other interdependent controls will update automatically, along with the PH display.
• If you wish to continue selection of geometry entities, click on the corresponding button on the dialog.
