After pressing Next in previous step, you find the table cells already selected. You can modify this selection using the mouse. Clicking or dragging on table header (green) allow you to select the whole column(s). You can do the same on the row header (yellow).

Goal of this tutorial

Our goal is to build a modeFRONTIERTM Work Flow (Section 4.2, "The Work Flow Canvas"), starting from the data of a MS Excel worksheet.

We select columns a1, b1, c1, r1 which will become our input variables and columns TotalCost, TotalSurface, TotalWeight as output variables. Press Next to proceed.

Note

The wizard will ignore:

  • each whole row that is not selected;

  • each whole row that is selected, but is empty;

  • each whole column that is selected, but is empty;

The wizard will consider as not-a-number

  • each text cell of a row selected for importing, but not highlighted;

  • each empty cell of a row with one or more non-empty cells;
