9.2.4. Categories




A category is a way to distinguish sets of designs rather then a single design, assigning a certain graphical look to these sets.

The user could define a maximum of 30 categories per project. As can you seen in Figure 9.11, "Categories Dialog" the first is None category that can be used to remove designs from a category.

Other categories can be customized choosing a name, a backround color, a foreground color and a symbol.

The last one will appear in the C column of Designs Table depicted with choosed colors as we can see in Figure 9.13, " Categories".

To assign designs to a category select them and then click with right mouse button. A pop-up menu as in Figure 9.14, " Customize it" will appear and you can select Categories | Add to Category. Categories dialog window (Figure 9.11, "Categories Dialog") is opened where you can edit categories and then choose one of them.

Categories are visible also in History and Scatter chart.

It is also possible to assign designs to a category directly in an History or a Scatter chart. First let us draw a selection area (Figure 9.16, " Selection area").

Next, after a click with right mouse button, the chart pop-up menu will appear. This allow you to select from menu Categories | Add to Category.
