modeFRONTIER / Star-CD tutorial: optimization of a blunt object
|
3.1 The Work Flow
The Work Flow defines the automatic creation and evaluation of each design as well as the optimization strategy.
modeFRONTIER simplifies the definition of the Work Flow by giving
an intuitive graphical tool. Within this tool, each operation is associated with an
object, and the various objects are then linked together to define a Logic Flow (Event/Application Sequence)
and Data Flow (from Input Variables to Output Variables passing through Input Files External Script and Output Files).
In the following steps we will learn how modeFRONTIER can create the Logic Flow, insert Input Variable into
ASCII Input Files, automatically create different model, analyze parametric models using batch External Script, extract results from
Output Files, and define Objectives and Constraints:
-
3.1.1. Data Input:
How to define Input Variables, give them a valid range and base, insert their value
in Input Files.
-
3.1.2. Data Output:
How to define Output Variables, and buld mining rules to extract their values
from Output Files.
-
3.1.3. Application:
How to load External Script analyze the parametric models,
link them to Input and Output Files, define a starting point for the Logic
Flow.
-
3.1.4. Goals:
How to define mathemathical relationships between Input and Output Variables
to create Objectives and constraints.
