Finish Side Groove dialog - General tab

Digitise Start - Check to select a starting position for the cycle. A Rapid move is made from the current tool location to this position before the cycle begins. If the box is unchecked, the current tool location is used as the cycle start position.

Safe Approach - Check to use the Safe Approach strategy on the initial approach move. This causes approach moves to be split into two separate blocks. If a radially mounted tool is in use the approach will be in the order Z and then X. For an axially mounted tool the order will be X and then Z.

Z Offset - Wall allowance left for the Finish Groove cycle. A warning message is issued if this value is greater than 70% of the tool width.

X Offset - Base allowance left for the Finish Groove cycle. A warning message is issued if this value is greater than 70% of the tool width.

Side Feed - Feedrate at which the tool will side cut.

Plunge Feed - Feedrate at which the tool will plunge cut.

Positional Feed - Feedrate at which the tool will be positioned between cuts. This modifier is unavailable if Link Type is Rapid.

Link Type - Specifies whether positional moves are to be made at a Rapid or Feed (Positional) rate.

Speed - Sets the spindle speed of the machine.

Finish At - Check to return the tool to the cycle start position after the cycle ends. Leaving the box unchecked leaves the tool at the end of the cycle after completion.

Feature Name - Enter a name here to allow labelling of digitised information for this cycle to enable "pickup" of this information in another (similar) cycle.

Profile Extension - Tangentially extend the start/end of the profile. Enter a value or digitise a location to set the length of the extension.
