Turning Tool dialog - More tab

End/Side Clearance Angle - Specifies the clearance in degrees between the End/Side Angle and the actual End/Side Angle to be used. These values are measured relative to (and are deducted from) the End and Side Angles, and should always be (small) positive values. See this illustration.

Colour - Defines the colour of the tool and its associated toolpaths.

Layer - Specifies the layer on which the tool is drawn.

Max Rpm - Specifies the maximum spindle speed. This value remains in force until the next toolchange and limits the speed values output to the NC file.

Tlo No - Specifies the tool length offset number.

Gear - Select the gear number for the tool. Note that gear selections which are invalid for subsequent spindle speeds will be ignored.

Workshift - When performing a toolchange, you can pick the next work co-ordinate system that will be used. If you put a datum shift into the maching sequence, you will not be able to specify a workshift in a toolchange. A warning message will be inserted into the NC code.

Note: The processing of spindle speed and gear selection is Code Generator specific. Overriding speed values at this level may cause inaccuracies in cycle time calculations.
