Strategy - Select the preparation strategy to use for the hole operation.
|
No Preparation - Here is a hole with no preparation: |
|
|
Countersink - Specifies a tapered preparation hole. A countersink is defined by its diameter and included angle. |
|
|
Counterbore - Specifies a fixed diameter preparation hole. |
|
Depth - Specifies the depth of the prepared portion of the hole.
Diameter - Specifies the diameter of the prepared portion of the hole.
Angle - Specifies an included angle when using a countersink.
After Roughing - Check to perform the preparation work after instead of before the roughing.
ToolStore - Press the Find button to open the ToolStore. Pick the appropriate tool and click Select.
Plunge Feed - Specifies the vertical feed rate.
Speed - Specifies the rotational speed of the tool on a milling centre in revolutions per minute.
On a turning centre, this refers to the spindle speed, measured in units per revolution. This is overridden if you have selected constant surface speed using the CSS (M-Functions menu) command. CSS is normally only used with turning centres with fixed tooling (but not drills and taps).
Position - Specifies the tool's position number on the turret.
Sort Priority - Assigns a sort priority to the toolchange and its associated instructions. Rationalising by tool will then be performed by order of first use within each priority group. All tools with the same priority will be sorted in order of first use, followed by those with the next priority and so on in ascending numerical order.
If a sort priority has been assigned to a toolchange this priority will be displayed in the Instructions Browser to the right of the instruction number.
By default, this field is set to non-modal. It will default to blank and you will need to specify a priority, if required.
Diameter - Specifies the diameter of the tool.
