Z Level Roughing Areaclear (Superseded) dialog

Use the Z Level Roughing Areaclear cycle to rough cut surfaces.

The Z Level cycles produce profiles of the surfaces at successive depths, taking into account the full geometry of the tool. This ensures that the tool does not gouge the part. The technique is also known as 'water-line machining'. Z Level cycles are useful for machining parts which contain significant depressions and bulges, such as distributor caps.

When milling large flat or gently curved parts, use the Parallel Lace cycle instead.
