The Depth parameters for the thread milling cycle mark the upper and lower limits of the thread, as well as the levels at which any link moves will take place.

Clearance - Specifies the clearance plane height for the cycle. This is an absolute value.

Retract - Specifies the height the tool retracts to during the cycle. This is a value measured relative to the start height of the thread. In the first link move, the tool rapids to this height and then feeds to the start height.

Level - The height at which the thread starts. Note that if helical leads are used they will project above the height.

Depth - The depth below level to which the cycle cuts thread. Note that if helical leads are used they will exceed this depth.

Alternatively, depth may be specified 'relative to geometry'; see below.

Finish At - Controls the behaviour of the tool at the end of the milling cycle:

Depth - The tool remains 'at depth' at the end of the last pass.

Retract - The tool makes a rapid move to the Retract plane from 'depth'.

Clearance - The tool makes a rapid move to the Clearance plane from 'depth'.

Relative to Geometry

Upper Distance - Specifies the upper limit of the thread. This is an absolute value denoting the level at which the tool rapids across at in the first link move. Otherwise, digitise an entity from which to take the limit for the thread.

Lower Distance - Specifies the lower limit of the thread. Otherwise, digitise an entity from which to take the limit for the thread.
