Within the Profile cycle you can define a draft wall with optional blend radii from the cycle dialog. This frees you from having to generate blend radius geometry or other geometry for the wall. The draft wall parameters will be applied to the profile and any islands contained within the profile. See Defining Draft Walls for details.

Digitise Contour Wall - Check this box to take the draft wall values from a digitised entity rather than entering the individual values.

Cut Increment - Specifies the maximum depth of each successive cut. This must be a positive value. If specified, one or more roughing passes are generated before the final finish pass. Note that the Cut Increment must be specified so that the tool intersects the geometry on the first pass. Otherwise the system cannot detect the geometry and displays an error message. (This allows the system to identify island profiles correctly.)

Cusp Height - Specifying this generates an effective cut increment at each level, which will not be exceeded. If specified, Cut Increment must also be specified. The Cut Increment will be used instead of the Cusp Height if it is lower than the effective cut increment.

Draft Angle - This defines the draft angle from the vertical. The angle is always a positive number ranging from >0 to <90. The draft angle runs from the cycle level to the depth.

Upper Radius - This is a blend radius between the profile level and the draft wall.

Lower Radius - This is a blend radius between the Depth and the draft wall.

Optimisation

Stay at Depth - Check to stop the tool from retracting when the tool moves from one profile to the next, providing the distance moved by the tool is not more than the tool diameter. The alternative is for the tool to rapid to a safe position. This can vary depending on the Optimised Link Moves and the Depth parameters selections.

Optimise Retract - Check to use an incremental rather than an absolute retract value. After each pass the tool rapids down to the retract distance above the last pass.
