The Maximum Cusp value calculates the cut increment for the Z Level cycle and the %stepover for the Parallel Lace and Boundary Collapse cycle by evaluating the tool geometry against the flat/steep angle (see diagram below). The values generated will ensure that the cusp value will not be exceeded, but a superior finish will be produced on the flat and vertical areas.
