For Hole cycles to be merged into one cycle that machines all the holes:
These parameters must be identical or compatible in the original cycles:
General tab - Strategy, Plunge Feed, Speed, Dwell Time, Tap Cycle, Longhand, Feature Name
Step tab - Cut Increment, Degression, Safe Distance
Entry tab - Tool Diameter, Entry Depth,
Entry Feed
The original cycle instructions must only separated by: rapid Z moves, repeat modal functions or self-cancelling pairs of modal functions (such as Coolant Off followed by Coolant Flood) - these are automatically removed.
The sequence's code generator supports multilevel/multidepth drilling.
Note
The merged cycle will only have an Optimisation setting if this was a common setting in all the original cycles (otherwise optimisation will be set to '<none>', which may change the machining order of the holes).
You should check the merged cycle - for collisions and so on.
The merged cycle will have Level and Depth settings if these were common in all the original cycles. Otherwise the Multi Level and/or Multi Depth checkboxes will be set.
The clearance plane will be set at the highest Clearance value specified in the merged cycles and intermediate retracts (except retracts to toolchange Z).
The merged cycle will have a Retract value set to the highest Retract value within the original cycles.
