Lead In moves are moves just before the tool contacts the surface. Lead out moves are moves just after the tool leaves the surface. Lead moves are omitted before and after short links.

Type

The type of lead.

See the types illustrated (the 'Strategy' is 'Parallel Slice' with the slices vertical)...

Percentage
Feed

The tool speed of the lead moves as a percentage of the feedrate.

Equal Lead
Moves

Check this for the lead out moves to be identical to the lead in moves.

  Lead In/Out

Angle

The included angle of the arc lead move. Leave this blank if you don't want a Lead In/Out move.

See an illustration...

Lead Radius

The radius of the arc lead move. Leave this blank if you don't want a Lead In/Out move.

See an illustration...

Height

An offset to the end of the lead move in a plane normal to the 'main plane' of the lead.  Leave this blank if you don't want a Lead In/Out move.

See an illustration based on 'Radius Tangential' leads (where the 'main plane' is vertical, so the Height is measured horizontally)...

Start/End Extension

The toolpath, just it leaves or contacts the surface, is extended in the same direction for this distance, before or after the lead move.

The values can also be negative (toolpath is shortened).
