The Catia loader provides the ability to load CATIA model (*.model) and export (*.exp) files into EdgeCAM. To import CATIA model or export files into EdgeCAM, use the Open (File menu) command and set the Files of Type parameter to CATIA Model Files (*.model) or CATIA Export Files (*.exp).
The CATIA loader converts CATIA 3D space entities only and can accept the following file formats, export files (*.exp) or the newer model files (*.model) found in CATIA Version 4 software. The data files can be in either EBCDIC (typically from IBM mainframe CATIA hosts) or in ASCII (typically from IBM and other workstation CATIA hosts) format.
