EdgeCAM 11.00 can load data from the following CAD systems (subject to the appropriate license):
Autodesk Inventor* – R10 and R11 SP1 (CAD link support).
SolidWorks – 2005, 2006 and 2007 (CAD link support).
Solid Edge – V17, V18 and V19 (CAD link support).
Pro/ENGINEER – Granite based versions up to and including Wildfire 3.
Pro/DESKTOP – up to and including 2001 and express
CATIA V4 (wireframe and surface entities only, not solids)
CATIA V5 (Solids Only) up to and including R16 SP2.
CAD Interfaces
EdgeCAM 11.00 supports the following CAD interchange formats:
ACIS up to and including R16 SP2 (Solid Machinist license)
Parasolid 17.1.229 (Solid Machinist license)
GRANITE One V3.0 datecode M180 (Solid Machinist license)
DXF (up to and including AutoCAD 2006)
DWG (up to and including AutoCAD 2006)
IGES (libraries updated in 11.75)
STL
VDA-FS 2
* Solid Machinist for Autodesk Inventor™
You don't need a complete Autodesk Inventor™ installation to load the latest Inventor files into EdgeCAM; you can install the free Inventor View application.
Install this from the Autodesk Inventor™ CD.
Alternatively install from the EdgeCAM CD. First navigate to the folder Autodesk Inventor View R11 - English and run setup.exe. Then navigate to the sub-folder Inventor View R11 Service Pack 1 and run InventorView11_SP1.msp.
To ensure that Inventor models from the latest release can be loaded into EdgeCAM, it is recommended that the latest version of Inventor View is installed.
(You also require the Solid Machinist for Inventor license to load Inventor models into EdgeCAM.)
