Technology data is feed and speed information that should be used when cutting the appropriate material.
In Tutorial 1 have seen how the technology database holds materials and insert grade information. The technology data joins the materials and inserts together with the feeds and speeds appropriate to that material/insert combination.
The most important issue to adding technology data is
the grouping of the materials that you wish to apply the feeds and speeds
to. Before adding any technology data, ensure that you can easily select
the material groups that you require. You may use the Family tab, the
standards defined by the tooling manufacturers, your own internal standards
or you may need to set up your own temporary groupings.
