In the Design
toolbar click 
Auto-Stock.
In the Display toolbar click 
Toggle Stock a few
times to see how the display changes between 'translucent' (as shown below)
and 'wireframe' stock. Leave this set as translucent.
You now add stock that represents the raw billet of material.
