A command performs a specific action in EdgeCAM.
You use a command by clicking on its button or by clicking it within a shortcut menu. You can also use the command's shortcut key (combination), if there is one.
You can assign shortcut keys to commands.
You can create commands.
Commands are in categories. When you are adding the button for a command to a toolbar, you select the category the command is in. In general, categories correspond to menus, so the Geometry category commands will appear in the Geometry menu.
You can see a short summary of the purpose of a command, and the command's button icon:
Right-click on any toolbar.
In the subsequent shortcut menu click Customise to open the Customise dialog.
Click on the Commands tab title to switch to the tab.
In the Categories list click the command's category, or try All Commands if you are not sure what this is.
In the Commands list, scroll to the command. The All Categories listing is in list is in alpha-numeric order.
Note the icon next to the command in the list. Click on the command and note the summary in the Description box.
