Name – Enter a name for the plot file (which by default is given the extension .pcf and written to the \edge directory, for example, c:\edge) or select the Browse button to specify the location and filename. To send the plot file directly to a connected plotter, use the LPT port name instead. For example LPT2 or in the case of a network printer type the UNC name \\SERVER\HPLASERJET.
Plotter – Select a plotter file (.PLT) file to use. The sample .plt files are located in the \edge\support directory. These files are manreadable and contain comments documenting each function within the file. You can create new .plt files by copying a similar sample file and editing the new file as necessary.
Colours Tab – The Plot command only allows you to assign pen numbers to the first seven colours. The 32 colours in EdgeCAM are mapped to the nearest colour that can be used. Set the pen numbers against the listed colours, or set all the colours to one pen number.
