As illustrated in Tool Utilities Overview, you use Technology Assistant to work with speeds and feeds.
You create database entries for materials and inserts, as well as entries for the speeds & feeds to be used for particular material/insert combinations.
The speeds and feeds are then automatically used in EdgeCAM, if the selected tool is linked to an insert, and the EdgeCAM part has a material specified.
For solid tools you can create 'inserts' of the 'Solid Tool' category, for linking to. Alternatively you could make direct (that is not via a linked insert) speed/feed settings for a tool when cutting a particular material (in this case you make the speed/feed settings directly in ToolStore, selecting materials created in Technology Assistant).
To get you started, the 'tstore.mdb' database contains example materials and inserts.
