Adding/Removing Tools To/From Jobs

To add a tool to a job

  1. If necessary create the tool.

  2. In the Toolkit Assistant Window drag the tool from the Tools list onto the job in the Jobs list. Alternatively select both the job and the tool and click the (ToolKit Data) Add button.

  3. Enter the relevant tooling information on the ToolKit tab.

  4. Move to the Mounting tab and enter a suitable value.

To remove a tool from a job

  1. In the Toolkit Assistant Window click the image\arrow1.gif button above the tool or job list to display either the tools used by a job, or the jobs that use a tool.

  2. Select both the job and the tool and click the (ToolKit Data) Remove button.

To edit ToolKit Data of a Tool/Job combination

Note that Toolkit data is data on the tool in the context of its selection in a particular job. For example a tool might have a different 'Turret Position' in one job, as opposed to another job. The underlying 'default' data of a tool is its Toolstore Data.

  1. In the Toolkit Assistant Window click the image\arrow1.gif button above the tool or job list to display either the tools used by a job, or the jobs that use a tool.

  2. Select both the job and the tool of the combination, and click the (ToolKit Data) Edit button.

    Note that you can make edits to a tool's Toolstore Data by clicking the Tool's Edit button, or by double-clicking on the tool).
