The CPL dialog box is displayed.
Select the Origin check box if you want to define a specific origin.
Make a digitise in response to the ‘Digitise new origin for CPL’ prompt. (If the Origin check box is not selected, the origin will be determined from data supplied through the Plane or Reference modifiers.)
Select a Plane definition. Three methods of construction plane definition are provided:
Select the Work Plane. Choose the plane of the CPL on which entity construction takes place.
Select the Dimensions. Choose from 2D or 3D. If 2D is chosen the 3D SNAP input option does not appear and all geometry is created in the plane of the CPL. If 3D is selected then full 3D constructions can be made.
Type a name for the new CPL.
When a named CPL is made active, its origin is shown with a CPL marker which represents the X, Y and Z axes in red, green and blue respectively.
If no name is given, a temporary CPL is created and made current. It cannot be reselected once another CPL has been created or selected. No origin marker is displayed for a temporary CPL.
Choose a Reference CPL.
When the Reference button is selected the Reference dialog box is displayed.
Select a CPL name or View name from one of the list boxes.
If neither the Plane nor the Reference modifier is used, the new CPL will be created with reference to the current CPL. Any rotation or change of origin will be applied to a copy of the current CPL.
Specify angles of rotation.
This modifier is used to specify incremental angles of rotation of the new CPL from the axes of the reference CPL or view port, or the current CPL.
When the Rotate button is selected the Rotate dialog box is displayed.
Type the required angles of rotation (degrees) into the boxes.
