About Curves

Curves used in design, often referred to as free form curves, are modelled in EdgeCAM as ‘splines’. The set of splines includes the Spline, the Bezier Spline and the B Spline. Given the same source data, each type of spline gives a curve of a different shape, based on the mathematical equation it is derived from.

The (Geometry menu) commands available to create curves are:
