Check this box to create a point at the centre of the arc.

Note that this is not the same as the midpoint of the arc, which is halfway along the arc.

Specify the angle from the centre point or the arc to the start or end point of the arc. These can be set to <None>, <Digitise> or <Value>.

If both are set to <None>, the resulting arc is a circle.

<Value> requires you to enter an angle.

<Digitise> results in an extra prompt asking you to digitise these values when entering the co-ordinate information on screen.

Creates an arc with a given radius size.

1. Specify the end conditions of the arc. If no end conditions are specified a full circle will be created.

2. In the Radius field, specify <Value> and type in a Radius value, or select <Digitise> and use a screen digitise later to enter the radius information.

3. Digitise the centre point of the arc in response to the ‘Centre point for arc’ prompt.

Create an arc with a given diameter size.

1. Specify the end conditions of the arc. If no end conditions are specified a full circle will be created.

2. In the Diameter field, specify <Value> and type in a Diameter value, or select <Digitise> and use a screen digitise later to enter the diameter information.

3. Digitise the centre point of the arc in response to the ‘Centre point for arc’ prompt.

An arc can be named with up to eight characters. This name is reported by Entity (Verify menu) command. When an entity is duplicated using one of the Transform (Edit menu) commands, only the original entity retains the name.
