When you are configuring EdgeCAM Comms to correspond to your collection of machine tools or other devices, or if you have bought new machine tools and want to include them in your communications system, you will need to create new machines within EdgeCAM Comms.
Before you start, make sure that you have your machine tool/controller documentation at hand to answer any related questions.
You can create a new machine icon in one of several ways. The two most common methods are:
Start the Comms Setup Wizard by double-clicking
on the Comms Set 
icon. This application guides you through the process of
configuring the communications parameters for a machine.
Duplicate an existing machine by double-clicking on its icon. Select the Create New Machine (Machine menu) command from the top bar:
This will launch the Comms Setup Wizard, using the parameters of the existing machine as the defaults for the new machine.
