You need to select the appropriate User Interface configuration for the tutorial.
Right-click on any menu.
In the shortcut menu that appears click Profiles ► Turn Profile ► default.config.
You also need the Operations toolbar displayed:
Right-click on any menu and in the menu that opens click Toolbars ► Operations.
