Turning conventions

As of FeatureCAM 2006 (version 12) the concepts of  CW and CCW were reversed to to match the standard industry designation.  When spinning clockwise, it is from the vantage point of the spindle as shown below.  Now if you spin CW the program will output an M03.  CCW or anti-clockwide will output an M04.

If you create a turned hole in version 11, the dialog would have labelled the spindle direction as CCW.  But if you create the same turned hole in v12 the dialog will report a spindle direction of  CW.  If you post either program using the same CNC program, both will output a M03.  XBuild has also been changed in version 12 so that the edit widget that contains M03 is labeled Spindle CW.  Old post files will work correctly with version 12.

As part of the same change, turning tool selection to always prefer right handed tools so that the spindle rotation is always CW.  In previous versions FeatureCAM's  tool cribs contained all left handed tools and all turning operations except holes would prefer left handed tools.  This meant that if you drilled a hole and then did a turning operation, we had to stop the spindle and reverse direction.

In version 12, all the standard tools are right handed.  All the operations prefer right handed tools.  This means that the spindle rotation will always be CW and will not stop and reverse direction between operations.
