Import your solid model. Pockets can only be recognized from solids.
If necessary, transform the part so that the surfaces that represent the features are facing toward the Z axis.
Click the Feature step 
from the Steps tool bar or the Advanced toolbar.
Select your either a Pocket feature type. Click Extract with FeatureRECOGNITION and click Next.
Click Automatic and click Next.
The pockets are then found and highlighted and the Pocket recognition options dialog box is displayed.
After completing this dialog box, click Finish.
