Milling face features can be created from flat faces of a solid or flat surfaces using the feature recognition wizard. It works best on solid models since the other faces of the model are avoided when the toolpaths are created. An example of face feature recognition from a solid model is shown below. Face features created from surfaces do not take other surfaces into account.
