The import of the CAD data file is just the beginning of the import process in FeatureCAM. After the file is imported, the Import wizard can be run to align the part to stock, size the stock and for some file formats, even perform some initial feature recognition.
To complete this dialog box:
To run the stock wizard, click the option Use the wizard to establish ... and click Next.
To accept the data, click Accept the imported data 'as is' and exit the wizard and click Finis
If you want to run automatic feature recognition on the imported model, click Launch AFR after finish. This will cause automatic feature recognition to be run after the import procedure is complete.
If you are reimporting a part or importing parts that are part of an assembly you will want to check the Use the same alignment as last import checkbox. The alignment transformation is saved with each import and can be reapplied using this option.
Note that Undo will not reset the saved transformation.
