Split Line Example
- Create a sphere using Create new triangle primitives
.
- Click on the View from Top (Z) button
.
- From the Paint Triangles dialog box
select the Flood fill to view horizon angle, check the Mix colour with existing colour option and set a Flood fill range of 95. Click on the sphere to paint all the triangles in the current view.
- Click on the
button to re-orientate the model to the opposing side. You should just be able to see the colour you have just painted around the edge of the sphere.
- Change the colour in the Colour list box and click again on the sphere.
- If you now rotate the model to the view shown below, you will see where the two colours have mixed. This provides a colour band around the sphere, with a width of 10 degrees.

- Click on Accept to close the Paint Triangles dialog box.
- You can use the colour band when sketching a split line using the Sketch Curves button
on the Curve Editing toolbar.
