Image Wrapping for "Ruled" Triangle models
There is a new image wrapping method, which enables a correct flattening to be achieved when wrapping images around 'ruled' triangle models. These are triangle models containing one or more strips of triangles between two profiles that define two sides of a model.

CopyCAD assigns TU parameter values to each triangle node and then wraps the model evenly over the model.
To use the new wrap method:
- Open both the image you want to wrap and the base triangle model in CopyCAD.
- In the CopyCAD Explorer, double-click on the image that you want to wrap so that it is the active model.
- Click on the Model Editing button
on the main toolbar to display its side toolbar.
- Click on the Wrap Model button
.
- Click on the Image tab on the Wrap Model dialog box.
- Select the ruled triangle model in the Wrap onto (triangle model) list box.
- In the Options area's Minimise Distortion list box, select Ruled. This tells CopyCAD to wrap the image using the strips of triangles in a "ruled" triangle model.
- For the best result, move the Distortion Smoothness slider to 0.
- Click on Preview to see the results of the wrap. You can change the other settings on the Image tab to suit the models in the wrap operation.
- When you are happy with the previewed results, click on Apply to wrap the model, and Accept to the close the Wrap Model dialog box.
