Swap Triangle Edge Diagonal

The Swap Triangle Edge Diagonal button swaps the edges of selected pairs of triangles. Using this tool, you can manually align triangle edges with features. You can also use it to create triangles with better aspect ratios.

CopyCAD takes the pair of triangles either side of the selected edges and swaps their diagonals, as shown in the example below:

The resulting triangles look like this:

To swap triangle edges:

1. Click on the triangle edge that you want to swap. The triangles either side are selected and turn red.

Note: Do not select more than one triangle at a time, as CopyCAD will not know which edge to swap first and you will end up with a worse quality triangle model.

2. Click on the Swap Triangle Edge Diagonal button .
