Splitting Models Based on Colour

You can create new models based on colour. This can be the model's colour, or the colour you have just painted.

Note: If the model contains more than 500 colours, no new models will be created if you select the Split Colours button.

To create new models using colour:

1. With the triangle model displayed, click on the Triangle Modelling button on the Main toolbar.
   
   
2. On the Triangle Modelling side toolbar, click on the Paint Triangles button to display its dialog box.
   
   
3. Colour the triangles if required. See Painting Triangles for more details.
   
   
4. In the Separate Coloured Regions area:
   • Click on the Split Colours button to create a new model for each colour.
     
     
   • Click on the Keep Colour button to create a new model containing all the triangles of the colour selected in the list box at the top of the Paint Triangles dialog box
     
     
   • Click on the Remove Colour button to create a new model, containing all the triangles except those of the colour selected in the list box at the top of the Paint Triangles dialog box.
