Splitting Curves where they Cross
To split selected curves where they cross:
- Select the curves that you want to split where they cross each other. You can select them either by clicking, or by dragging a selection box over the lines.
- Click on the Split Curves button,
to display the Curve Splitting dialog box:
- In the Split Method area, make sure that the Split all curves at crossings option is selected.
- Enter the maximum 3D distance between the two curves where they cross in the Curve Matching Tolerance box.
If the 3D distance between the crossing lines is less than this tolerance, new curves are created each side of the crossing point.
- Click on Apply to split the lines.
- Examine the lines to make sure that you have split them correctly:
- If you are satisfied with the results, click on the Accept button to close the dialog box
- If you are not satisfied with the results, click on the Cancel button to close the dialog box without saving the changes to the curves.
