Specifying Triangle Vertex Index Numbers

Before you start adding triangles by specifying vertex index numbers, you can display the numbers using the Label Points button.

To label the vertices with their index numbers:

1. In the Display Options – Markers tab, click on the Point Label Text list box and select the Index option.
   
   
2. Make sure that the vertices are displayed for the triangle model, by selecting the Draw Points button on the Draw toolbar.
   
   
3. Click on the Point Editing button on the Main toolbar to display the Point Editing side toolbar.
   
   
4. Click and drag a selection box over the vertices in the Graphics window.
   
   
5. Click on the Label Points button .

To add triangles by specifying triangle vertices:

1. Click on the Add Triangle button .
   
   
2. Click on the Select By Index button..
   
   
3. Type the three triangle vertices you want to link with a new triangle.
   
   
4. Click on the Apply button.
   
   
5. Repeat the steps to add as many triangles as you need.
   
   
6. Click on the Accept button to close the Triangle Vertices dialog box.
