You can smooth points on selected internals, rather than all the points in the surface. This is useful when a surface is over-constrained by internals in a specific area. This usually occurs when a certain number of internals is required in order to link up with internals in a neighbouring surface. If for this reason you cannot delete the internals, you can smooth them instead, freeing the points along them to a position where they do not create ripples in the surface.
The Smooth internals combined option allows you to smooth all the picked internals at the same time. Instead of smoothing each internal individually, using the internals on either side as a guide to the ideal smooth position, CopyCAD smoothes all the selected internals at the same time. You should only use this option if the surface would maintain its shape if the selected internals were deleted.
To smooth selected surface internals:
Note: If you select more than one surface, the Smooth Single Surface button remains greyed out and unavailable.
to display its dialog box. When you click on this tab, all the surface internals are de-selected.

Note: To de-select an individual internal and leave the others selected, hold down the Ctrl key and click on it.
Note: if the boundary is shared by another surface, the points will remain in their current position.
During this process, CopyCAD displays a progress bar and stop button in the status bar. If you want to stop the smoothing process, click on the
button.
When the surface has been smoothed, the maximum adjustment to a point is displayed in the status bar.
