You can use the Show Deviations From Original area at the bottom of the Interactive Triangle Editing dialog box to view how your editing has affected the model.
These tools allow you to view the changes that you have made to the model and see if you have unintentionally changed the model in a particular area. If you have, you can use the Erase tool to selectively undo the changes before you save the edited model.
For example, in the bottle model shown below, the letters have been smoothed to remove them from the surface of the bottle. As you can see by the error map, areas around the letters have also been inadvertently smoothed, causing distortion.

If you move the Erase tool over these areas, you can undo the 'smoothing'.

There are two error analysis tools available:
The button at the bottom of the Show Deviations from Original area opens the Display Options dialog box, at the Errors tab. You can use this tab to change the scale used to display the deviation in the shaded error map. For further details on changing the Error Shading Range, see the CopyCAD User guide.
To display a summary of the deviation:
CopyCAD displays a Message box, as shown in the example below:

The point that has deviated most from its original position is also labelled in the Graphics window.
To display a shaded error map showing the deviations created by your edits:
Note: This is a shortcut to clicking on the Shade Errors button
on the Draw toolbar.
CopyCAD shades the errors, highlighting areas that you have changed using the Interactive Triangle Editing dialog box.
