Tolerance Model - Tolerance

The Tolerance area allows you to select the type of entity that you want to tolerance in the model:

• Points – Carries out unordered point tolerancing by removing points that are closer than tolerance. This is useful as a pre-operation for triangulating the model using the Unordered/ Multiple option (you should tolerance the points model at less than half the triangulation grid stepover).
  
  
• Scanlines – Removes points in a scanline model to tolerance as shown in the example below.

• Triangles – Tolerancing a triangulated model will reduce the number of triangles, while maintaining the shape to tolerance.
