Select by Index

Click on the Select By Index button to display the Select Indices dialog box.

This dialog box allows you to select points and scanlines using their index numbers. Each of these entities have a number or index associated with them, determined by the order in which they were scanned/created.

When the entities are selected, you can carry out an operation on them. You can delete them, mask or unmask them, move them incrementally, label or unlabel them, or find out information about them.

To use the Select Indices dialog box:

1. Click on the Select By Index button to display the Select Indices dialog box.
   
   
2. Type in the indices for the First and Last point or scanline that you want to select.

Note: If you want to select just one point or scanline rather than a range, type 0 in the Last box.

3. In the Selection Filter area, select whether you want to Include Masked Items, Exclude Masked Items or select Masked Items Only.
   
   
4. From the side toolbar, select the operation you require, for example if you have selected points and you want to delete them, click on the Delete Points button .
   
   
5. Click on Cancel to close the dialog box.
