When you click on the Workplanes button on the Main toolbar, CopyCAD displays the Workplane dialog box. This dialog box allows you to create a new co-ordinate system. The Workplane dialog box controls the location and orientation of the new workplane.

Name - the name of the workplane. You can edit the name here.

Active - when checked makes the new workplane the active workplane. The workplane is written in bold and preceded by a ">".

Draw - when checked the workplane is drawn in the Graphics window.

Position - translates the origin of the local co-ordinate system (workplane) to a specific co-ordinate on the global co-ordinate system (transform). The value entered is the absolute distance along the transform.
