Error Analysis - Analysis

The Analysis area of the Error Analysis dialog box allows you to display the errors for either the whole model or the surfaces you have selected. CopyCAD compares the data to determine accuracy and displays it as statistics in a message box:

• Click on All Deviations to display the deviations of the complete surface set to the original point data in a message box. The point where the Maximum error occurs will be labelled in the Graphics window until the message box is closed.

• Select the surface you want to look at, using the mouse to draw a box over it, then click on Surface Deviation to display a message box like this:

This shows the surface's mean deviation, the maximum deviation, and the point where this occurs.
