Importing the Digitised Point Data

After starting CopyCAD, load in the digitised data file.

1. Select the File - Examples menu option.

The following dialog box appears:

2. Choose the file alloy.asc from the dialog box, and click on Open.

This file contains the point data and the model appears in the Graphics window. The view shown is from the Z direction, and this needs to be changed to see the model more clearly.

3. Select the View - ISO - ISO 1 menu option to get the view shown in the diagram below.
