CopyCAD Entities

CopyCAD uses different levels of structure in a model to build up the initial data you import. The structure is made up of different entities: points, scanlines, gridlines, triangles and surfaces.

Models in CopyCAD are named by the highest level of entity they contain, so if the model contains triangles it is called a 'triangle model', even though it may also contain points, scanlines and gridlines. The highest level of entity in a model is shown by its icon in the CopyCAD Explorer to the left of the main Graphics window.

You can draw a model's different entities using the Draw toolbar at the bottom of the Graphics window.
