Set Focal Length Automatically
To enable depth of field:
- Before entering the Render Options dialog, select an object or group in the scene to be the focus of the scene.
- Click the triangle beside the Render Controls and click Render Options.

- In Render Options, enable the Premium Quality Mode, then enable Depth of Field.
(Note: if the final render is too grainy, increase the Rays per pixel.)
- To set the Lens Radius, enter a value in the Lens Radius field. Remember that the larger this number is, the more of the scene will be blurred.

- To set the Focal Length automatically click on the Set To Current Selection button. The Focal Length field will change based on the currently selected object. Make sure you have an object or a group selected before selecting this.

- To set the Focal Length manually, refer to "Setting Focal Length Manually."
