Soft Shadows
When you adjust the softness of a shadow, you blur or sharpen the shadow's edges. Soft shadows blend more smoothly with the background.
To enable Soft Shadows when rendering using the Premium Quality Mode:
- In Render Options, enable the Premium Quality mode, then enable Soft Shadows.

- Ensure that Shadows is enabled under the Optics options. If this option is not selected, then shadows will not render.

- Click on the OK icon to close the dialog.
- Display the Sky & Fog palette by clicking the Sky & Fog button at the top of the Bryce window.

- Click the Sky Lab button. The Sky Lab appears.

- Click the Sun & Moon tab.

- Enable the Sun/Moon Shadows option. If this option is not selected, then the objects in the scene will not cast any shadows.

- Enable the Soft Shadows option.
