Using a 3D Texture as a Component

To use a 3D Texture as a component:

  1. Load an object and click on the button to enter the Materials Lab.
  2. In the Materials Lab, click in a channel column. A randomly selected texture appears in the Texture Component Window.

  3. If you want to change this texture, click the triangle button next to the texture name at the top of the window



    and choose a preset texture from the menu.



    You can also press Shift+click on the triangle to access the Texture Library directly instead of a listing of the textures.

    Note: To access a different main category from the Texture Library via the menu, you will need to enter the Texture Library, select a category, then exit the library. The new category will then be available from the menu.
  4. The texture you selected appears in the Component window.

  5. OR click on the pink Texture Source Editor button on the left-hand side of the window to enter the Deep Texture Editor.
