Preset Libraries

In Bryce, the libraries provide quick access to objects, materials, textures, pictures, brushes, and skies that can be added to the scene.

Bryce comes with two preset category folders in each library: Installed and User. The Installed preset category folder contains the presets that are installed with Bryce. The User preset category folder is empty by default.

Each preset category folder can contain as many preset categories as you want and each preset category can contain a virtually unlimited number of presets - at least as much as your computer can handle that is. You can also create additional preset category folders and preset categories to suit your needs.

All the libraries can be added to, deleted from, imported into, or exported out of in the same way. What differs is what is or is not selected and what gets added to the library.

• The Objects Library contains all the preset objects distributed with Bryce as well as presets you add. Objects in the library are either 3D models or geometric paths. Objects added to the library include any applied materials and textures.
• The Materials Library contains all the material presets available in Bryce.
• The Textures Library contains procedural 3D textures generated by Bryce in the Deep Texture Editor.
• The Skies Library contains all the preset skies available in Bryce. You can apply them to your scene and edit them just as you would another sky.
• The Brush Library contains all the brushes available for use in the Terrain Editor.
• The Pictures Library contains the current imported textures for use in the scene.
