Drag away from the horizontal center (up), and the spikes increase in height, resulting in formations with harder edges.
Drag toward the horizontal center (down) for softer-edged formations.
It is possible to invert the spikes. This means that you can exchange positive and negative spaces in your sky. If you invert the amplitude, everything that was previously clear sky will be clouds, while everything that was cloud will be clear sky.
