Resize on the X-Axis

To resize from the right-hand X-axis:

1. Move the cursor over the right-hand X-axis on the Resize tool.
   
   
2. Hold down the left mouse button and drag right - the object scales larger towards the right.
   
   
3. Drag left and the object scales smaller towards the left.
   
   
4. To resize from the left-hand X-axis:
5. Move the cursor over the left-hand X-axis on the Resize tool.
   
   
6. Hold down the left mouse button and drag right - the object scales larger towards the left.
   
   
7. Drag left and the object scales smaller towards the right.
   
   

To resize in both directions on the X-axis:

1. Move the cursor over the left or right-hand X-axis on the Resize tool.
   
   
2. Press Opt/Alt and drag right to scale the object larger on the X-axis or left to scale the object smaller on the X-axis.
   
   

Hold down Shift to constrain the resize increments to 50% intervals when increasing/decreasing the size of the object.
